This is the perfect time of year to focus on getting in shape after the holidays.  If you are looking to get in shape, check out these helpful boot camp style weight loss tips.  I decided to put together some simple boot camp weight loss tips that you should consider starting now to ensure you look “Hot for the Summer”.  Some of these tips may seem so simple and common sense to you but let them serve as constant reminders as what is important to focus on these next few months so you can look your hottest to those who will see you.

1.  Drink a minimum of half your body weight in fluid ounces in water.  For instance, if you weigh 200 lbs., drink a minimum of 100 fluid ounces in water daily.  The more water you drink, the better it will be for you.  Also try adding some fresh lemon juice or sliced lemon to your water to kick things up a notch and boost your metabolism.

2. Look at your workout program as a healthy challenge and a privilege.  Think about the changes that your body will be making when you stay committed to daily exercise and scheduled rest days. Workout at least 5 times a week for a minimum of 45 minutes.  Be consistent and persistent with your workouts.  Also, if you can workout first thing in the morning, then do it. 3.  Start a meal plan that will support your weight loss goals. If you are looking to lose 20 lbs for instance, make sure that your calorie intake will help you lose the weight.  I’m not sure if you knew this but the Team Beachbody website has an awesome meal planner when you sign up for Club Membership. 4.  Limit or completely stop your coffee and soda intake.  I personally don’t drink sodas at all and I encourage all of my team members to do the same if they are serious about losing weight.  If you are going to have a cup of coffee, try using a natural sweetener like agave syrup or honey and drinking your coffee black.  Flavored creamers or even half and half will add more unnecessary fat and sugars to your coffee that won’t help you hit your goals.
